I have 1988 chevy step side and 1998 gmc sierra 1500 EZ Down Lowering System # DZ43100 Work in this 2 trucks?

I have a tailgate lift solution I can provide for both of your trucks, but the part # DZ43100 that you referenced is not listed as a fit for either truck.
Instead you would want the part # 74211 as it has been confirmed as a fit the 1998 truck and would work great for making your tailgate feel MUCH lighter.
Nothing we offer will fit the 1988 because it has a step side.
