Silicone Sealant to Install Camco RV Vinyl Trim Insert
Updated 08/05/2015 | Published 08/04/2015 >
Question:
I recently received a roll of this trim that I ordered to repair my 03 Rockwood Roo that was damaged by hail earlier this summer. I noticed that there is a sealant at the ends of the trim. What is that sealant? Is it something specific to these trim pieces? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The sealant is likely silicone such as # 0160297 used to create a seal, plug a hole and things like that. If there is old sealant where you are putting the trim # CAM25262 you would need to remove it all first as needed before adding any new trim or silicone to the same area. This will ensure a proper seal and fit.
