can you tell me what adapter I need for a 2013 Ram 1500,,I have an older Hayes energizer III thanks

For your older Hayes Energizer brake controller you can use harness # 3023-P for a 2013 Ram. But you will have to cut off the end that plugs into the controller and the plug on the controller and hardwire them together color for color.
If the connector on the back of your controller is built into the controller and there are no wires showing then you would use # HA81789-HBC and # 3023-P.
It is possible though that your Hayes controller will not work with the 2013 Ram because of the new Powernet electrical system in the truck. In the event that the Hayes controller does not work you will need to use a newer proportional controller such as the P2 # 90885.
