Ratchet Strap Recommendation for Securing Honda Rubicon to Utility Trailer
Updated 08/03/2015 | Published 08/02/2015 >
Question:
I have a carry-on 5x8 trailer with a mesh floor. I want to carry a Honda Rubicon ATV. What would you suggest for a tie down configuration? I have been using 6 1-inch wide web ratchet straps and on three occasions have had a strap cut by a sharp point on the ATV. Thanks for your help

Helpful Expert Reply:
For ratchet straps the Erickson Tie-Downs part # EM31353 would work well as long as you can find a better place to attach them to your ATV. Avoiding the sharp corner that is tearing your old straps would be highly recommended. Without seeing pictures of the setup it's hard to say where exactly you would want the straps to attach to. But you would want to avoid having the straps touch anything sharp.
