Dual Ball Mount Recommendation to Allow Trailer Towing and Carry Cargo Carrier

Question:

Have a 2 inch dual hitch. Cargo box on top. Coupler on tow trailer wont hook up because latch must be up and thus interferes with the cargo box frame. 3500 rated trailer with 2 inch ball. Current coupler is welded on. Looked at low profile but not sure if they would work. Clearance I have from ball to cargo frame is about 4 inches. Any suggestions. Thank you

Have you tried hooking up the trailer first and then once it's connected and the latch of the trailer is secured and in the down position then install the cargo carrier.

Or you could replace your dual hitch with a # D210. If you check out the dimension picture I attached you would be able to see if it would give you more clearance.
