How to Change Passcode on MasterLock Safe Space Box part # ML5900D

Question:
I push the reset button to put in a new combination but the new combination did not seem to set so I put it back to 0000 and it seems like that would shut , even though I didnt try it. but I cant get the lock back in on the left or I cant seem to push the reset button now to try to change the combination again

To set the lock passcode for the MasterLock Safe Space Box part # ML5900D that you referenced you will need to hold the passcode set lever above the dial while you change the code to your desired passcode. When you release it will be set.
To get the lever to release the passcode will have to be entered into the box. Since yours doesn't want to move now that you changed it that would indicate that it is set to the last passcode that you entered.
