Question:
I have a 2007 nissan frontier SE 4x4. I have read all the problems about the tranny radiator cooler leaking and decided to bypass it and add another auxilary cooler. What Im wondering is if you have any info on how to do this or video of how to.

We don't have a video but I can tell you how you would bypass the factory transmission cooler in the radiator of your 2007 Nissan Frontier. There is a line running to the radiator from the transmission and another running from the radiator to the transmission (the supply and return lines).
You would need to take those lines out and plug the inlets where they were. How you do this will depend on if you remove the lines directly at the radiator or further back, leaving the fittings in place on the radiator. It has to be plugged because if there is a leak of coolant into the transmission cooler chambers it would just leak out.
The supply and return lines will then be connected to a supplemental cooler. But you will need the most efficient one you can get and place it where it can get the most airflow. I recommend either a stacked plate cooler, # D13403, or a remote cooler that you could mount anywhere since it has its own fan, # D15960.
A remote cooler will provide optimum cooling all the time which makes it the preferred type for this situation.
