Should Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller Show Output Voltage with Manual Override and No Trailer

Without a trailer should I get numbers on the display when I operate the manual control slider?

The manual override on a brake controller will send power back along the blue wire with or without a trailer connected. When it does so the display will act accordingly and show the output.
