How to Determine if a Camper Trailer Can Tow a Small Boat Trailer
Updated 06/17/2015 | Published 06/15/2015 >
Question:
Can you recommend a hitch for my polariomo puma 28ft fifth wheel so I can haul my boat. Currently there is a bumper hitch with a rear fin on there. It seems quite solid and the the bumper seems solid and welded to the frame but I want to make sure its safe. I have s 17ft tracker targa with a weight of about 1500 pounds. Will the bumper hitch suffice or will I need something different?

Most likely you would be fine since it looks like you have a solid square bumper that is welded to your trailer frame, but you really would need to contact the trailer manufacturer to determine if your trailer is rated for towing and what it's towing capacities would be. You also will need to check the local DOT in your area to make sure you can tow two trailers.
