How to Know if a Curt D210 Would Allow for Towing a Boat Trailer and Carrying Bike Rack
Updated 06/12/2015 | Published 06/11/2015 >
Question:
I use a 20213 Nissan Pathfinder to tow a 17.5 ft fishing boat. I also use a KUAT hitch mounted bike rack for 2 bikes. Can I use the D210 with this set-up? Im concerned about how far back the bike rack will extend and if the tongue on the Heritage boat trailer is long enough to make this work? I read one review that did say you need to take the bike rack off before you unhook the boat trailer, and that is not a problem. Any comments?

If you have a pretty long straight-tongue coupler on your boat the # D210 should work well for you. The only way to know for sure would be to measure from the hitch opening of the hitch on your vehicle out to the furthest point out on the bike rack when installed in your hitch and then measure the height above the hitch opening the rack sits and then compare those measurements to your boat trailer.
The # D210 will add about 3-1/2 inches to the height of the rack over the trailer so you will need to consider that as well.
