Towing a Pop-up Camper and Carrying 4 Bikes at the Same Time

Question:

Hi, I am looking to tow a Rockwood premier popup camper 2716G with 3370 lbs GVWR and 370 lb hitch weight with a 2013 Ford explorer XLT with tow package. I am wondering if I can use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 to Tow the Pop Up Camper and a Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack with 4 bikes. Thanks

Since the trailer's tongue weight is 370 pounds you would be able to tow the trailer and carry 4 bikes using the Curt multipurpose ball mount # D210 since its total tongue weight capacity is 750 pounds combined and there is no way that your bike carrier and bikes would weight 380 pounds.

The only issue that you might run into is clearance when making turns. Be sure to put the longest bike closest to the back of the vehicle and the shortest bike closest to the trailer. The only way to really know if you will have the clearance is to try it.
