Question:

Hi, I have a 2007 Outback Wagon 2.5i. I wanted to know if the pulse xl would interfere with my hatch opening or not. I checked the clearance guide and from the middle of my front crossbar to the back of my hatch is 46 7/16inch and the guide says the front clearance needs to be 46 3/8. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this on their car and if that 16th of an inch would screw up everything or not.

That is really close, almost too close to call honestly. It might be worth remeasuring since a 1/16 of an inch can be hard to determine when measuring such a long distance.

If your measurement is correct the Thule Pulse part # TH615 that you referenced most likely would just lightly touch your hatch when it is open. That might be too much contact for you so the smaller Pulse part # TH614 might be a better option. This one requires 42-5/8 inches to clear the hatch so it might be your best option.
