Can Rhino-Rack Universal Side Loader be Used with a J-Style Kayak Carrier Installed

Question:

I have Rhino-Rack aero cross bars. Will Universal Side Loader work with J type kayak carriers, theirs or Malone Down Loader? Will Universal loader bar fit under the mounting bracket of the carriers?

What you would need to do when using the Rhino-Rack universal side loader # RR-RUSL is place the carrier you use at the opposite end of the crossbars from where the side loader is mounted to avoid any interference.

It is likely that the Rhino-Rack J-Style carrier # S512 will work if you wanted to mount it closer to the side of the rack that the side loader is on. This is because the sides of the crossbars are basically clear where the carrier clamps around them. It would be a tight fit for sure but I am confident you can get it all to work.
