Trailer Wiring Harness Port Location on a 2004 Acura MDX

Question:
I have a situation, according to all acura hitch and harness installation instructions I should have a 6-pin vehicle connector in my cargo compartment under molding to plug and play my tow harness, but is not there !. There is something similar a 6pin connector and is located behind cargo left molding and is hard to reached. Moreover, it is pluged to a small black OMRON box. I purchased TOW-READY connector #118336 that should fit on my vehicle, removed OMRON box and tried plug in there but doesnt fit. Have you ever experience situation like that? Thanks a Lot

It should be under the threshold molding on the back edge of the cargo area, along where the door seals to the vehicle. It would not be behind the panel on the left or right side of the cargo area. I have added a link to the instructions for part # 118336. See page 4, it is the page that has the pictures for install 2001-current Acura MDX.
