Do You have a Class III Hitch for a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis

Question:
Is a class 3 hitch carry more load than a Class 1 or 2? If so, do you have a Draw-Tite Hitch for a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis?

Expert Reply:
Class III hitches have a higher capacity when compared to a Class I or II. Class I and II hitches are also 1-1/4 inch receiver openings, where as the Class III are 2 inch openings.
We do have a Class III hitch available for a 2004 Grand Marquis, it is part # 41116. It can pull up to 3,500 pounds weight carrying, and if you add a weight distribution system, it can pull up to 6,000 pounds. The Class I is limited to 2,000 pounds. The Class II can pull up to 3,500 pounds too, but can only have a tongue weight of 300 pounds and cannot use weight distribution systems.
I have included a link to the hitch and the instructions below so you can review them. Our hitches are shipped with all the hardware needed to complete the install, even a fish wire if needed.
