Question:
I presently have 2011 trailer with electric hydraulic drum brakes hooked to a 2011 Chevy for 4 yrs. I installed a Brakerite EHB Adapter when I pickup trailer and had no problems, Work great. Last year I hook a 2015 Chevy to trailer and it still worked great. My Question is I am picking up a new trailer in August with Hydrastar same kind of pump on present trailer But this trailer will have Disc EHB. Would I be better to hook the matching the EHB-CAM or go back to the Brakerite and Why?Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado has a factory-installed brake controller and you are using it with a trailer that has the CTS HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16 then you will need to use the # HBA-CAM Control Adapter Module to let the Hydrastar operate properly.
The Brakerite adapter # T4845900 will work only with their BrakeRite II SD actuator # T4835700.
