Will Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 Fit on OEM Hitch on 2015 Honda Pilot

Hello, I am considering buying a D210 for a 2015 Honda Pilot to tow our Flagstaff 206ST popup trailer and to carry 3 bikes. Can you please let me know if the D210 is designed to fit with the Pilot hitch? Also, I was wondering if using the D210 reduces the rated tongue weight capacity on the Pilot. Thanks

Based on my research, the 2015 Honda Pilot has an OEM 2 inch Class III Trailer Hitch so the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 would be a great fit for your Pilot. This ball mount only reduces the tongue weight capacity of your OEM trailer hitch when only the receiver portion is used. If you are using an accessory and towing, then the tongue weight is not reduced and the weight of the accessory should be added to the total tongue weight.

The ball mount has a tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds. That means the tongue weight of the trailer, the weight of a bike rack and the weight of the bikes has to be less than 750 pounds or the tongue weight capacity of the vehicles hitch, whichever is less.
