How to Install a Mini LED Clearance Light in 1/4 inch Plywood on a Custom Made Tear Drop Trailer

The rubber grommet included with the Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, # MCL11RKB, is designed to be installed in a metal housing that is thinner than the 1/4 inch plywood that you are using for the skin of your tear drop trailer.
I recommend cutting a larger hole in the skin of your trailer and adding a piece of aluminum with the light installed in that. You might also go with a surface mount clearance light instead like # MC58RB.
