Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2010 Honda Ridgeline

Question:
I am thinking of installing a hitch on the front end. It will only be used to carry a couple of mountain bikes. What is involved in installing one of your hitches and can a person that is not to handy accomplish this task?

Installation of the front mount receiver # 33328 is not all that difficult on a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. There is a little bit of fascia trimming required and a couple of the bolts have to be fishwired in but other than that it bolts into place.
The trimming is explained in the instructions. 2011 and older models require far less trimming than 2012 and newer models.
The fishwire technique is easy enough. I have included some links that should help explain fishwiring for you.
Carrying bikes at the front of the vehicle is certainly possible but there are some things you need to be aware of. First, the bikes can reduce driver visibility and front end clearance. The bikes can also potentially block the lights at the front of the vehicle as well as reduce air flow to the motor.
