I have a travel trailer that weighs 8000 lbs when loaded and I want to use snap hooks ti attach the safety chains to the hitch. How much weight should each hook be rated for?

I called my contact at Roadmaster and they told me the Snap Hook for Safety Cables, part # RM-910031 has an 8,000 lb weight capacity.
For your travel trailer that weighs 8,000 lbs when loaded, this snap hook should work well for you.
