Question:
Im interested in installing a hitch for my Lincoln MKZ awd. The manufacturers owners manual says to never tow a trailer with this vehicle. and Your vehicle is not equipped to tow. No towing packages are available through an authorized dealer. I see you have hitches available for my make and model. Is it now safe to tow? Has there been a change for my vehicle that would allow towing? Is there an issue with this vehicle for towing due to it having electronic transmission? Thanks for any advice.

We do have hitches available that have been confirmed to fit your 2009 Lincoln MKZ, but if Lincoln says you can't tow with your vehicle then we can't recommend you do so. Basically the hitch manufacturers will make hitches for vehicles as long as there is a demand for them, regardless of what the vehicle manufacturer recommends.
For your vehicle you may still be able to carry a bike rack like the Swagman XTC2 # S64670 so a hitch like the Curt part # C11329 would work well for this.
