Question:
I have a 2008 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3l. Ive had problems with the transmission over heating. I was curious as to how much heat D13503 can disburse. I do tow with it and it has oversized tires 31x10.50xR15. It also has a 4.10 gear ratio so it stays in the high RPM ranger and I know it strains the transmission. It spends a lot of time in 4th gear because of the towing. But like I said, my main question is to how much heat D13503 can disburse. Thank you for your time.

I spoke with my contact at Derale and people typically see a 20 to 30 degree drop in fluid temperature when using the Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13503, on a 2008 Ford Ranger.
The exact drop in temperature can not be determined due to varying conditions such as the weight of load when towing, terrain, outside temperatures, etc.
For quick and easy installation with no cutting or flaring of the hoses, we offer kit # D13014 for 1/4",3/8" NPT fittings or kit # D13035 for snap-in transmission line fittings.
