Question:
I have an F-150 XLT, four door, short bed truck. I had a tunnel soft cover installed two years ago. Now I am in need of tie down anchors to haul a fridge a long distance. I was looking at the Erickson anchors and the clamp tie down. Which tiedown will be best for the truck? The holes were the bull rings should go, also have a cover and not sure how to take that off if the anchors are more suitable. Thank you.

The Erickson Anchors # EM01003 and Pilot Bully clamps # WTD-823 are both solid choices for your setup. I recommend going with the Pilot Bully clamps # WTD-823 because they are heavy duty and don't have a load capacity rating because the tie down mounts are installed to the truck beds side rails. It will hold a load that will cause the truck's side rails to cave in before the tie down will break.
To remove the cover off the stake bed pockets, You could use a flat head screwdriver to pry it off carefully.
If you happen to need some tie-down straps, I recommend the Easy Ratchet # EM34410. These are heavy duty straps with a safe working load limit of 1,333 pounds.
I included a few video reviews about each product for you too.
