Question:
I have a 1976 13foot Scamp trailer with a torsion axle. I would like to get more clearance and am considering a leaf spring suspension with axle. Can you tell me what items I will need.

Actually if you are looking for the best possible ground clearance for your trailer a Timbren Axleless system with a lift built into it like the part # ASR3500S06 would be your best option. Not only will there not be an axle running down the middle of your trailer which would limit ground clearance, but the spindles have a lift built into them to give even more ground clearance than a standard axle or torsion axle.
This system has a 3,500 lb capacity as well.
