Question:
I have this 2012 nissan frontier crew cab sl. Truck had no hitch originally i installed one Then bought this plug n play wire harness that connects down by the hitch with 2 plugs that are by the chassis left side. The stop lights work and both turn signals but no tail lights. All fuses good. Im checking all this before i connect my trailer. I have read i might need some relay or something that goes on the righ side kick panel. but then i get confused because its not like all my lights dont work like mentioned before only tail lights im missing by the way all my truck lights work properly. any suggestions. I dont want to start cutting cables. Thanks

It is possible that there is an in-cab relay that is missing on your Frontier, # C57000, but this is normally not the case on the Frontiers.
It will be located next to the steering column under the dash. It would be a small blue relay. Yours may have blown. You can try swapping a known working relay in this spot to see if that fixes the running light circuit.
It is also possible that you didn't install the jumper harness of the # C56225 behind the rear passenger side kick panel. This harness has the relay for the running lights.
