Question:

ok after a ton of research this is what I came up with, there should be a fourth relay for the tail light circuit somewhere on the vehicle. Do you know where it is and can I get a relay for this location.

I thought this one over for a while and could not come up with a definite solution. I asked our installer and he has not had the opportunity to install a harness on this vehicle yet. I then jumped on the internet and found a couple of interesting notes on the 2006 Armada. Apparently there is a relay socket under the dash just to the left of the steering column. Since your vehicle did not have the towing package installed at the factory this relay was not installed and will be needed to power the tail lights at the 7-Way and 4-way connector. The under dash connector will have 4 wires going into it. They will be Red/light blue, brown, black and red. This relay will be the same as the blue relays used under the hood. I would use one of these relays to test the connector under the dash and then purchase a new one for the under hood install. The relay you will need is included in the CURT relay kit, part # C57000.

The blue relays that are installed under the hood activate the left and right turn/brake signals and the brown under hood relay activates the 12 volt power for the trailer connector.

You may also have a tow package fuse missing in the fuse box under the hood. I would use the legend under the fuse box cover and check to see if there are any open slots that are listed for towing and tail lights. From the information I was able to obtain there is a 10 amp tail light fuse in location 36. If so you may need to install a fuse to get the tail lights to work on the towing package.

I was finally able to find out that there is another relay that is needed on the Armada. Another blue relay is needed under the dash on the left side of the steering column. There is a socket there to plug in the relay that will activate the tow package tail lights on the Armada, if it was not installed at the factory.
