The Curt trailer wiring harness # C55307 fits 2001 to 2005 Toyota RAV4 models but it will not fit a 1999 RAV4.
For your 1999 RAV4 you will want the Curt # C55486.
It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of dielectric grease, # LT37534, to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.
