Published 01/07/2015 >
Question:
Looking at purchasing the trailer valet and have concerns. Do both wheels pull? I have a gravelsmall driveway and a boat weighing about 3K, single axle. Couple hundred pounds tounge weight. Concerned the wheels will spin. And your thoughts?

Yes, both of the wheels of the Trailer Valet part # STC-V211 turn when the crank is being turned. The wheels are connected so both wheel also stop turning when the brake is applied.
Depending on how deep the gravel is the wheels might have traction, or they might not.
If the gravel is super deep and your trailer doesn't have much tongue weight then I would imagine the tires wouldn't get good traction. If the gravel isn't deep and is smooth the tires should get decent traction since they are inflatable rubber tires. A decent amount of tongue weight relative to the overall weight of the trailer will help with this.
We have had a few customers leave reviews saying that the trailer valet didn't work for them in gravel, and a couple who said it did work in gravel. One even said it worked going uphill.
I attached a review video for this jack for you to check out as well.
