im curious about the vertical tube diameter on the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4inch and 2inch Trailer Hitches S64650. I currently have a rack and am wondering if the P186 will fit on my current 1 1/4inch vertical tube. Thanks.

The replacement part you referenced, Swagman Replacement Ratcheting Hook Set for Swagman XTC and XC Series Bike Carriers, part # P186, works on their XC and XTC bike racks as a replacement hook to secure the bikes on the carrier. This fits over the 1-1/8-inch x 1-1/8-inch vertical post used on these two racks. The vertical post has "teeth" or threads cut into two of the opposing corners; this is what the ratcheting hook holds onto.

Like many bike racks parts these are application-specific for just two Swagman bike racks. Many other racks include parts, such as anti-rattle bolts, that are incompatible with components from other brands.
