Front Hitch Availability for 2014 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I was wondering if this 31367 will fit, or can be bolted to the front bumper mounts on a 2014 Toyota RAV4? As it is made of steel, I dont care about any warranty concerns of not being vehicle specific? If I can drill a couple of extra mounting holes, I will.

First, thank you for your recent purchase of a rear trailer hitch for your 2014 Toyota RAV4. Thank you also for providing a photo of your vehicle showing its bull bar and off-road lights.

The front-mount hitch receiver you referenced, Curt # 31367, is a fit for various model years and versions of the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser, but not for your RAV4. We do not offer any front hitches for your 2014 RAV4, nor for the earlier model years that I also checked.

Since you have a bull bar and off-road lights on your RAV4 - even if there were a front hitch available for it - you would likely not be able to install it with these items in place.

I cannot recommend installing a hitch - or anything else - not specifically intended for your vehicle. Apart from the safety and potential liability concerns there is the issue that any non-standard installation that deviates at all from the manufacturer's instructions would result in an unknown (and probably a reduced) hitch capacity. The vertical load and line pull ratings for any front hitch are based on it being installed exactly as the manufacturer intended.
