I don't have any information specific to the RX350, but if you view the video I've linked to a brake controller being installed on a 2010 Toyota Highlander, the procedure would be very similar, almost identical.
You'll need our brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7, a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885 and a functional 4-pole trailer connector. If you don't have a trailer connector already, you can install one using part # 118748.
The Prodigy P2 is a proportional brake controller. A proportional controller has an internal accelerometer that can sense how quickly the tow vehicle is stopping. It will immediately send the proper amount of voltage to the trailer brakes so that the trailer and the tow vehicle stop and the same rate. This leads to safer and more predictable trailer braking, and less wear on the vehicle and trailer brake pads, since one or the other isn't doing all the work.
Between the video I've linked and the instructions for the ETBC7 install kit, you have just about all the information you'll need to complete the installation with confidence.
View the video, look over the instructions, and if you have any remaining questions, you can simply reply to this email and I'd be happy to help.
