Can the Tow Mode on a 2011 Chevy Suburban be Used at the Same Time as a Programmer

Question:
I have tow button option and was wondering if this changed when I program to tow ? Will this effect the auto downshift on long downhill grades ? I also have manual shift up and down that I use in mountains.

The tow button and mode on your 2011 Chevy Suburban 6.0 does a similar function as the tow setting tune on a programmer. It will change the way the transmission behaves to the optimum settings for towing. But a programmer will provide more power and torque as well.
If using the programmer on a tow setting you would not have to use the tow button on the vehicle at the same time but you can and in some cases is even recommended. You can try it both ways to determine which gives you the best performance.
I have included a link to our help article on programmers for you to view.
