Secure, Clamp-On Installation

The fit kit clips are easy to install on Evo Flush Rail or Edge Flush Rail feet (sold separately). Just remove the lockable covers, slide the inner and outer clips over the mounting bolt, screw on the socket head nut, and insert the mounting pads onto the bottoms of the feet.

Thule Fit Kit Single Attachment Point

To complete installation, place the fully assembled rack on your flush rails and tighten the rack in place with the torque tool included with the feet. The inner and outer clips in each foot tighten with a single mounting bolt to ensure an even, secure grip on your rails. An audible click from the torque tool indicates the rack is secured properly.

Protection for Your Rails

The rubber-coated steel clips and molded rubber pads protect your side rails from scratches and abrasions. The pads easily slide onto the bottoms of each foot, and they're designed to fit the shape and contour of your vehicle's flush rails.

Troubleshooting Whistling Thule Roof Rack on a 2012 Volvo XC60 with Sunroof
Roof racks and roof rack mounted accessories tend to be pretty noisy. Especially when you throw a sunroof into the mix. If the noise is the worst with the sunroof open then you will most likely have to close it. What you can try is repositioning the cargo box so that maybe the wind will hit it differently to see if the noise gets reduced. Hey John, If you're needing just the foot you can get the Replacement Complete Foot for Thule Evo Flush Rail Roof Rack # TH62VW. If you're needing the fit kit as well you'll have to get the 4pk kit # TH186015 since it isn't sold separately like the feet are.

I've checked with all of our roof rack vendors, and unless your XC60 is an oddball, it should have a small accessory attachment rail running down either side of the roof, as shown in the diagram I've provided for you. To install the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 on the roof of your 2017 Volvo XC60 will require a roof rack that has bars that hang past the feet of the rack at least 4 inches. Will a Thule Evo Roof Rack Fit a 2012 Volvo XC60
If your 2012 Volvo XC60 has the flush rails that run front to back then you will need to use a different type of roof rack because the Evo Raised Rail feet # TH710401 cannot clamp to flush rails. Quiet Roof Rack for a 2015 Volvo XC60 and Cargo Box
For your 2015 Volvo XC60 with the flush side rails you can use a Thule AeroBlade Edge roof rack, # TH7602-TH7603 with fit kit 4006. These are going to be the quietest bars and also produce less drag for a lower impact on gas mileage. The AeroBlade Ege bars are 3-1/8 inches wide and 1-1/8 inches tall so you can use those dimensions to determine if the cargo box hardware will fit around the bars.
