Hey everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Thule ReVert kids bike adapter. This is an adapter piece that you add to any one of your ReVert bike racks, and that way you can carry around bikes with tire or wheel sizes from 20 to 24 inches. Just an extra add-on piece not included with your rack, but something worth looking into to see if this will fit your bike. While your loop is usually a universal cradle, when you do have those smaller wheels, you need to get an adapter to get that better support. So here we have it with a 20-inch wheel, so it's supported up top, but there's a separate cutout here for your up to 24-inch wheels.
Now, you also have to keep in mind that this does take up less width in your loop. So I would say up to 2.75-inch-wide tires would be about your max width. For wheel bases though, that's where I was a little bit more concerned, just because while we could support the top wheel of our kids' bike with this adapter; will your bottom cradle also be able to support it So while there is no official minimum wheel base, our bike here has about a 32-inch wheel base, and I find that that's about the minimum I'd feel comfortable with securing to the rack. Just make sure you secure that bottom cradle first so you can get the best fit there, because your top cradle will then adjust accordingly. To get this attached, it technically snaps into place.
How easy it snaps is another question though, especially since it's pretty cold here at etrailer; this plastic is pretty tough. So we'll get that side part first by pushing in, and then we're gonna push down to get that bottom piece, snap into place. And that's how you install it onto your bike rack. Now load your bike up into one of those grooves. Again, it is supposed to be angled outwards that way.
Just double check to make sure none of your forks or components of your wheel are touching. That just shows how this child bike adapter works with your bike rack, as many as you need for your different children's bikes. Again, this is designed for the Thule ReVert 4 or 6 bike rack, also available here at etrailer. My name's Evangeline, and I hope this video helped you out.
