Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 2-5/8" Rise or 3-1/4" Drop

A level trailer makes all the difference for stable, even towing. This CURT Class I drawbar lets you choose between a 2-5/8" rise or a 3-1/4" drop so your trailer sits just right behind you. Whether your hitch is a bit higher or lower than the coupler, this mount helps keep everything level for smoother handling and less strain on your setup.

Built Strong for Everyday Towing: 2,000 lbs GTW Rating

For small utility trailers and light hauls, you want simple strength that won’t quit. This drawbar handles up to 2,000 lbs gross towing weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. The steel construction is CNC machined for consistent welds and solid reliability. It’s the kind of straightforward build that gives you confidence every time you hook up.

Fights Rust and Road Wear: Gloss Black Powder Coat Finish

Towing gear takes a beating from road grime, moisture, and salt. The gloss black powder coat finish on this drawbar resists corrosion so it stays looking clean and protected after repeated use. The 7-stage washing process used before coating ensures a smooth, durable surface that holds up trip after trip.

Simple, No-Nonsense Setup: Fixed Ball Mount Design

No extra adjustments or moving parts to mess with—just a clean, dependable setup. The fixed design fits standard 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hitch receivers and uses a 3/4" ball hole diameter so you can add the ball size you need. Once secured with a pin and clip or hitch lock (sold separately), it’s ready to tow without any fuss.

by:

Very good fit. Mounts easily. Looks good. 1 1/4 hitch was all I needed.

by:

Quick delivery. Just what I ordered. Always a pleasure to do biz with etrailer.com

by:

Perfect fit and perfect for my application. Can use as either rise like in my application or drop. Very good quality....Very pleased. Handling of the shipment could have been better but overall. Great product.

by:

Fast shipping and the exact part I need ed.

by:

This is the third item I've ordered from etrailer. all were correct and a good value. I will use them again.

by:

Product arrived as promised and in new condition and was exactly what I ordered. I am impressed with etrailer and the quality of the products they offer. Try them.

by:

Quality is good, after one year of abuse it's holding up well. The size though is a little large, I had to pull out a sledgehammer to fit it in the receiver.

by:

Disappointed that no bolt and nut provided to secure fitting through hole in mount For that small expense now I have to go to a store to finish setting up to use your productReally folks how much money did you save for not including securing pin?

by:

I ordered a trailer hitch and a drawbar and both came quickly and was an exact match for my vehicle

by:

Easy to install and worked as needed. Videos and instructions made installation simple.

by:

The tolerance of off perhaps due to the thicker glossy paint(vs powder coating?) so the draw bar will not go in more then a quarter inche into the hitch. I got a different drawbar that’s looks like it is powder coated paint (non glossy) and that’s slide in smoothly.

by:

fast shipping
the paint coating is hard
and durable, but it dried with a bead of paint around the end which fits into the receiver. i filed the coating a bit and it was still a bit to tight. it is still hard to remove.
good strong products.
thanks

by:

Top quality, Made in US Curt ball mount. It's only class 1, but that is perfect for towing a 1200# Scamp behind a VW. Etrailer had it in stock, shipped it quickly. A great online buying experience. Thanks!

by:

The hitch and ball mount came very well packaged. It looks as good as it was pictured. I have yet to install it and can't wait.

by:

Standard class II ball mount. Receiver insert is made of square tube and drop of solid steel.

by:

Fits in a Curt Class 1 receiver. Don't forget to order the locking pin separately.

by:

the product, a class one bar for a receiver hitch was excellent quality and finish the product was at my doorstep 4 days after the order was made, including the day I placed it. High quality, quick delivery you can;t go wrong

by:

Still works great!

by:

Item has been installed on tow bar, but will not be used for at least a month. It is my best estimate of what I need for a new trailer I purchased, and will pick up mid-October, based on information from the trailer people. Shipped together with other items and arrived quickly.

by:

From the minute I discovered etrailer.com for my new trailer hitch needs, called them on the phone, got to a live person who helped me order every item I needed, was alerted that my items had been delivered, and opened the door to see a big cardboard box that actually was still in one piece, it was a topnotch experience. Talk about great customer service...wow!

I will attach a photo of my hitch once it's installed on July 29.

by:

I have a 2022 VW ID.4 AWD with factory installed receiver. This drawbar is 1/4" longer than VW recommends, but in rise orientation the length is required to clear the bumper. I ordered a shorter Curt drawbar but found it could not be installed in rise orientation because it hits the bumper before the pin hole is aligned. Both the shorter and this Curt drawbar fit fine in drop position, but were very tight in rise. I had to sand down the paint and file the corners to make the Curt fit easily so that it could be inserted and removed from the receiver by hand. I can't say whether this is a VW or Curt issue.

by:

All the items in my order arrived today. Thanks for your continued follow-up on this order and the speedy shipping once you had the item on hand. I also appreciated the installation video and pictures on etrailer. com. I routinely recommend that my customers reference your website for install instructions and product explanation videos. Keep up the good worK.

by:

Three stars only due to my specific case on the factory-installed hitch on a 2015 VW Tiguan. The black powder coat finish was applied extremly thick, and as such it would not slide into the hitch opening on the Tiguan. The reciever I used on my Jetta wagon slid in without issue, but the ball height woul be excessive, hence the need for this one. I spent about an hour removing the powder coat and appling a thin coat of rust preventitive paint in order to use it as intended.

by:

I highly recommend etrailer hitch and wiring harness They were both easy to install. The Prius pull the motorcycle camping trailer very well. You would not even know it was hooked to the car

  • Hitch Availability for the 2014 BMW 328i GT
Yes; you were on the right track with the product you were looking at. The Curt # C11367 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 BMW 328i GT and will provide you with a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver to allow you to carry hitch mounted accessories or tow a small utility trailer. One of the great features of a hitch like this is the concealed cross tube, which not only looks a lot cleaner on the back of your vehicle, but it provides a little more ground clearance than visible cross tube hitches. • Trailer Hitch for 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon
The Class I trailer hitch I suggest for your 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon that is NOT the STi version is Curt # C11497. Per Curt's warranty policy you need to use a support strap # 18050 for any non-trailer load, such as a Class I bike rack like the Curt # C18085. For a trailer wiring harness you can use kit # C59496 which is a hardwired type kit. This includes everything needed to install a 4-pole flat trailer plug on your Impreza. For a ball mount use part # C45022 and either 1-7/8-inch...

For your 2007 Toyota Avalon, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11427 is a great choice. When used with ball mount # C45022 and hitch ball # 19258 the U-Haul trailer will work. For your wiring, I recommend the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit with 4-Pole Connector (Includes Tester) # 119178KIT. I've attached a video to assist. This combination will allow you to haul a trailer up to 2,000 lbs max when fully loaded.

  • Ball Mount with 2-5/8" Rise/3-1/4" Drop for Class I Trailer Hitch
From the center of the hitch pin hole to the back part of the shank measures 2" for the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 36071. While the Draw-Tite does fit a 1-1/4" hitch receiver, it's designed for at least a Class II receiver which is why that end portion is a little longer. Some Class I trailer hitches have a stop built in which will keep this option from working. For a Class I ball mount that has the same dimensions we have the Curt # C45022. This measures 1-1/2" from the center of the hitch...

  • What Ball Mount Will Fit a 1-1/4 Factory Trailer Hitch on a 2001 Ford Escape
There are two possible reasons why some 1-1/4 inch ball mounts might not fit in the factory trailer hitch on your 2001 Ford Escape. First, if the factory trailer hitch is what is considered a Class I trailer hitch, a Class II, 1-1/4 inch ball mount will not fit. They are designed this way for safety. Check the capacity of your factory trailer hitch. If it is 200 pounds tongue weight capacity and 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight, you have a Class I hitch and will need a Class I ball mount....

The hole in the Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2-5/16" Ball - 2" Rise or 4" Drop - 7,500 lbs item # C45042 accepts a 5/8" pin. • How to Find a Ball Mount with the Right Rise or Drop to Tow a Trailer Level with an ATV
I will be happy to help. To determine the right amount of drop you will need the first step is to take a couple of measurements. Park the ATV and the trailer on level ground. Measure from the ground to the top of the receiver opening on the ATV. Then, level the trailer (as if you were towing it level) and measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. The difference is the amount of drop you will need (unless the trailer is higher then the difference would be the amount of rise...

  • Will Curt Class I Hitch C11427 Work For Pulling Motorcycle Trailer With 2006 Toyota Avalon
As long as the motorcycle trailer doesn't weigh more than 2000 lbs fully loaded and have a tongue weight greater than 200 lbs, the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11427 would work just fine for a motorcycle trailer. In order to complete your towing setup, you'll need a trailer wiring harness like # 119178KIT, a ball mount like part # C45022 and a # PC2 hitch pin and a 1-7/8 hitch ball like # A-80 or a 2 inch ball like # A-82

  • Availability of Class II Hitch for 2007 Toyota Avalon
The 2007 Avalon is rated only for a light-duty Class I hitch, so there is no Class II hitch available. Light duty Class I hitches have specific weight limitations; for example a hitch-mount bike rack for a Class I hitch can carry only 2 bikes maximum, regardless of the capacity of the bike rack itself. • 1-1/4-Inch Ball Mount with 4-Inches of Drop
Some lighter-duty ball mounts such as the Class I Draw-Tite # 3594 cannot be used in the drop position because there would not be enough room for the coupler to get around the hitch ball. The short part of the shank would prevent this. For a 1-1/4-inch ball mount with about 4-inches of drop you can use Class II ball mount # 36078 or Class I ball mount # 3593 with 2-3/4-inches of drop, or # C45022 with 3-1/4-inches of drop.
