Best GMC Sierra 2500 5th Wheel Gooseneck Adapters

Straight forward installation, website easy to navigate to find the correct hitch for my vehicle, and the most reasonable price I found. Ordered on a Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday!!!!!!!!!

Great product and great customer service. Only reason for a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review is that i really didn’t like the large footprint that it took up in my short bed truck. Traveled 2157 miles this year pulling our 33’ Grand Design and it was flawless. Sold our truck recently and up graded to a duramax with a puck system so we also upgraded to a B&W RVK3710. Haven’t pulled with it yet but I am expecting the same flawless operation as the last one. The build quality is extremely rugged and I love the small footprint.

Excellent quality and easy to use. Only downfall is how heavy it is, we use a backhoe to install and remove it from the truck bed instead of taking it apart so it's a manageable weight.

I have a standard bed on a 2024 Chevrolet 2500hd and the offset hitch extends too far so that it contacts my bed on the left and right when I angle my trailer at about a 120 degree angle. I will get the straight one so it will fit properly. My rhino box fifth wheel is pretty short but makes this setup too long. Get the straight one if you have a Chevy with a rhino box 5th wheel. Towing is nice and hookup was easy. 3 stars just because the offset hit the sides.

This is my first 5th wheel but I have several other gooseneck trailers that I tow on a regular basis. I didn't want to have to switch back and forth so I bought this adapter. I have a long bed but I have a chase rack on it that goes up over the cab. I really didn't want to have to remove it every time I wanted to tow my new toy hauler so I got the offset hitch. Install was very straight forward. Took me about 40 min. to install. The hardest part was getting the bolts in as mine has the long pin box and it was all I could do to reach the holes. I don't have very many miles on it but it tows great. I didn't notice any difference from my other gooseneck trailers.

The Demco Recon is an incredible hitch! I originally bought a much cheaper hitch adapter from (another site). Regretted it the moment I used it for the first time, it terrified me and I thought I was going to destroy my truck and trailer. Luckily, that crumby adapter made me look harder for a much better alternative, which is when I landed on the Demco Recon. I was a little nervous at first about making sure that I had ordered the correct hitch for my gooseneck, but after looking at the FAQs and Customer photos here on etrailer, I felt confident in my purchase. When it arrived, it was very simple to install in the bed of my truck, I watched a couple of different videos on YouTube to make sure I installed it correctly. (The printed instructions don't mention what to do with the blue silicon bung). But otherwise install was very quick. My first trip with the Demco was also my first time ever towing a fifth wheel trailer and we did nearly 800 miles. The wrap around lock on the kingpin gave me assurance that I had made full contact with the kingpin. The hitch was secure and worked amazingly well. I'd highly recommend this hitch to anyone who is looking for an adapter. I never felt uneasy or questioned the hitch.

Very nice hitch. Easy to install and the height adjustment makes it easy to adjust the height of the trailer.

This adapter allowed me to quickly install a fifth wheel hitch in my single wheel shortbed truck which had a gooseneck hitch without any extra installation work, other than just dropping it in. Easily installed and has worked well with a slider hitch.

Order confirmation was fast, shipping was fast, they said it would be here Saturday but ups doesn’t deliver on Saturday or Sunday so it didn’t get here until Monday. I knew this so I was expecting it and I didn’t need it right away so to me it didn’t matter. Everything was delivered in good shape when it got here. I’ve bought one of these from strainer before and liked it so when I found I was in need of a goose neck adapter again I got the same one and etrailer came through again. This adapter is expensive but it works great. Would recommend.

Great product! Ive pulled a 42' to Hell and back not one problem. It is heavy, but it's very solid. My fifth wheel hitch fit straight in. Way cheaper than having to put rails in if you have a factory ball hitch in the bed. Its It's also nice that it's removable so you can haul furniture, or things that can't sit crooked ect. Great product, should last forever. Definitely would recommend

Products fit properly, I haven’t used it yet with my 5th wheel hitch but appears to be sturdy and should work well. Easy to switch form 5th wheel hitch to gooseneck ball.

Great option for my curt q20 took 20 minutes to install .I bought a new truck which came with the b&W gooseneck hitch i was surprised to find this plate . Thanks etrailer

Shipper dropped box, chipped some paint, and pin is missing. Other than that, smooth process from order to delivery. No fault to trailer at all. Seems like a well built rugged hitch!

Hitch fit great. Bradford built mustang flatbed. I did see people having issues with the hitch rotating. I added a 7/16 x 2"bolt to prevent that from happening.

I had an issue with this not sitting all the way down into by gooseneck. I have to place my backhoe bucket down into this for my bolts to engage...What a pain in the neck. Wish there was a easy way to fix this, but I feel the only way is to mill the piece or shim my existing gooseneck under the bed.

Fits perfectly into curt goose neck hitch. My reese 5th wheel hitch fits on the rails perfect. I haul dirt bikes in my truck so being able to take the rails out is perfect..... nothing in the way of loading or unloading

I have been using the Ranch Hitch #3100 Straight Adapter for 3 years. Converting the 5th wheel to goose neck was awesome. Much easier to hook up and a smoother, quieter pull. After purchasing a new trailer I noticed that the trailer was too close to the cab of my short bed truck. I found the Ranch Hitch #3139 with 8" offset adapter. It installs easy and gives me 8 more inches away from my truck cab. Excellent! Turning corners is much more comfortable!

Used the Companion hitch to convert gooseneck ball mount to 5th wheel hitch. Companion fits perfectly inside the well of my flatbed and is easy to remove to use the gooseneck ball and easy to re-install. The hitch is very secure and tows my RV quite smoothly. There is no back and forth movement and I couldn’t be happier with it. Easy to hook up and disconnect the trailer. Highly recommended. Etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me find the right equipment to meet my needs.

Hitch is great, B&W products are exceptional. Had the turnover ball mounted on a Douglass flatbed. Purchased the fifth wheel hitch for a 37 ft two axle toy hauler. Pulls great, easy installation. Make sure to make all the appropriate measurements before purchasing. There were some shipping issues. etrailer failed to send a bolt bag initially. Took a while to get that rectified, but all is well.

William was great. The actual sales part of this was beyond excellent I received my Gen-y in only a couple of days and my son and I easily installed the hitch on the trailer in less than an hour and a half. We used a floor jack to support it after we hitched it to the goofball in the truck and then backed up into the trailer pocket and then used the hydraulic jacks on the trailer to get it in perfect position and bolted it down.

The Gen-Y hitch is very stout & well built. Fit & finish was excellent. Installed myself in about 30 minutes.

Great price and fast shipping

Added a gooseneck 5th wheel to a 14,000# dumpster trailer using boxed 8x8 wfb. Built it to the truck. This product ideal for this project. Welded on with flat plate allowing space for adjustment. Towing made a huge difference with the trailer maxed out most of the time. Turning around is fantastic with the ability to jack it around up to the cab.

This may be a compatibility issue between manufacturers, but why is the front of the hitch pin plate not centered with the trailer center

Great craftsmanship on the adapter, works perfect. Will save my back not having to pull out 5th wheel hitch every time I need to switch to pulling a different trailer. Overall experience was excellent. Great prices, awesome customer service and fast delivery time.

Ordered on Friday afternoon and received the following Tuesday. Very simple installation. No longer have to crank the gooseneck up or down to connect to truck. Very satisfied with this product and the price was very reasonable.

I ordered the Bulldog adapter because I believe their quality is good. The construction of the Bulldog hitch adapter was good. However, the 4” tube was not perfectly round, approximately.030 out of round. This shouldn’t have been an issue, but since my trailer is used and had a Temco hitch originally, the tube wouldn’t slip in. I chucked the Bulldog in the lathe and skimmed .030 of the diameter and it went right in. This review is not written to criticize Etrailer or Bulldog. Just be aware if you’re working with a different brand hitch other than what is listed, there is a possibility of fitment issues.

Great replacement for the Curt Turning Point pin box! Easy to install and took a couple hours since I did it by myself. I had to purchase new 5/8” locknuts as the originals from the Curt install needed replacing. I also had to buy (4) 5/8” nuts from Tractor Supply since the Curt install had nuts welded on the front 4 bolt locations. I used the Curt 5/8” bolts and flat washers since they did not need replacing. I haven’t had a chance to get the trailer on the road yet, but see no reason why it will not pull nicely with the Gen Y gooseneck. It will be pulled with a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Duramax and 10 speed Allison transmission.

The ride while pulling our trailer is much better. While there is still some bucking, the Gen Y hitch is much smoother. The install was fairly easy as well.

Best customer service experience parts came in faster than expected and well packaged had placed the wrong order the first time and emailed the customer service to cancel order on a sunday replied right away and got me set up with the correct parts definitely my go to place from now on as a first generation farmer and having to deal with many trailers either to move cattle or equipment this is a place of business i can now trust thank you customer service department

This adapter increased my revenue by 25% as now I can haul gooseneck trailers. Highly recommend for simi's that do power only with long slide fifth wheel. I really give it a 10 star

Installed myself on 3322 Attitude 5th Wheel so far so good. It’s hard to tell if I’m getting a better ride but I have had no issues so far I feel like it’s harder to connect to gooseneck because you have to be more accurate when you back up the truck, but The hitch itself is working perfectly as described and no issues on the install either. I would purchase again since my bed is now clear of any fifth wheel hitch. It’s easy to just drop the ball in there and start pulling the gooseneck, leaving lots of room for other things in the bed.

Great product. The fit and finish is perfect. The trailer tows so much smoother and the chucking is almost gone. The extra bed space is a great bonus.
