Best Ford Focus Trailer Wirings

It works, it doesn’t have indicator lights so it doesn’t make my Rivian think I’m towing unless I actually am. The cap is difficult to remove as it’s recessed into the unit, overall it does the job.

This adapter plugs in to the OEM receptacle without any excessive effort and the flat 4 pin connector on my utility trailer also plugs into the adapter without any excessive effort. As a bonus there is a cover for the 4 pin side of the adapter to protect it the elements when not in use.

This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

Decent enough plug. It was an easy install. I would have liked to have allen screws to get a good bite, but will check the connections after a use or two.

Just what I needed for my home-built bike carrier. My wife rides an e-tricycle and by the time I loaded the trike and a couple of bikes on this platform, you could not see the car's taillights or blinkers. This harness worked perfectly!

Used this to rewire a 6 x 10 trailer. Inserted the wire through 3 feet of metal conduit to keep it from being damaged near the coupling. So now the only exposed wire is the ¼ inch right at the connector.

Worked out well.

2 things. 1st@: I think there should be an option to pick tinned wire. 2nd: The ring terminal for the ground needs to be bigger.

Perfect . My new Subaru hitch has a flat plate to which the dealership attaché the 4-flat. I used “2 L-brackets” to accommodate the 90 degree bend of the adapter bracket.

I recently had a receiver hitch installed on my 89 Silverado and the wiring was merely zip tied to the safety chain connection. Well that didn't sit well with me. I wanted a more permanent wiring connection point. So I purchased your 4 flat to 4 flat and 7 way plug and installed it. So far so good. The installation turned out perfect and it looks good. The test lights are a great thing as well. I couldn't be happier.

I received this item in a plastic bag, for a few moments i wondered if it was a knock-off. I had done my home work and was sure that this item would be compatible with the socket on my John Deere 2013 5085M at the time I ordered it, not so. The 'holding ridge' at the plug-in end was not in the right position when fully inserted into the plug on the tractor. I sent multiple pictures to Pollack Technical Support but they were unable to assist me. I finally modified the item myself (something I really hate to do) so that it would fit the plug-in and be 'grasped' by the cover/holder on the tractor side. As I anticipated, the thickness of the plastic was inadequate to make the adaptation 'sweet', so I had to cover the resulting hole with silicone caulk.

The wiring on my trailer could not reach the connector on my truck, this extension worked perfectly to connect my trailer lights.

The products I received were of good quality and were bolt on replacement for what was originally on my trailer. Very pleased.

It served its purpose to convert 4 connection to 7 connection to make it compatible with Toyota 7 connection set up diagram which is different than many American or other 7 point connection. Thank you E-Trailer . 5 stars and it's working just fine 1 year out from installing.

Used to make a test lead when trouble shooting new GM trailer brake controller and kept as spare.

I installed a trailer brake kit on my Ford Ranger over a year ago, finding the misc parts and install kit with the help of the etrailer Folks. My truck was rear ended recently, smashing the 7 pin connector, that came as one part number for multiple parts, mounted through the bumper. Calling the etrailer folks, they were able to single out the part I needed without buying the entire install kit again. One five minute phone call and I'm on my way again! Very pleased!

I just had to clip a few wires and it plugged into the 4 prong connector on the van and it works as it should

I do not recommend this product. I bought this for my truck. It seems to be the nicest looking plug on the market but after the first rain, the plug was filled with water. I changed the location from the hitch to the bumper and once again the plug was filled with water after it rained. This condition will obviously lead to terminals corroding and/or wires being shorted out. I have bought a different style plug, unfortunately the same brand but hopefully I will have better luck. May be able to drill a small drain hole in the casing to allow water to escape but shouldn't have to do this on a new product.

I bought this socket for my 2006 Volvo Xc90 to wire in the 4-Pole harness I also purchased from etrailer. Already had a few 7 Blade to 4-Pole adapters from my previous vehicle, and wanted the option of adding a trailer brake wire for a small camper later on so that was the main reason for the purchase. It also went very well with the Hidden Hitch I had already installed, bracket mounted right up to the existing tabs on the hitch. Super quick and easy install, as all of my etrailer purchases have been. Looks great on the truck, and functions great with the 180 Degree cover.

The Roadmaster 4 wire connector is very good quality to connect my vehicle to motorhome.

We just finished a makeover of our 1995 boat trailer. New bunks, sanded and painted but the best part of the project was the new LED lights from your company. They are so much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs that you really do feel safer driving down the road. We pulled the 20 year old wire out and replaced with new and used the 3M scotch loks to tie in. We were not sure the new style grommets would fit the old holes in the frame but they fit great. Your customer service was great, alerting me to a backordered reflector but recommended a replacement that worked fine. Patrick set up a Q&A page for me since I had questions about the best way to protect connections with dielectric grease, heat shrink and tape. Your website is one of the best with ease of navigation, complete pictures, great selection and thorough info, dimensions, etc. You guys really have your act together and also offer great value. I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Heavy built. Very much wish it had a cable clamp on the backside similar to its male equivalent. As it is all the strain on the wiring/cable is supported by the terminals themselves.

I've got that trailer that has had one tough life. Yep, hundreds of gigs, PA and sound equipment rolling in and out, the heat, the cold, the sun, rain, and snow. Chicks, guitar players and drummers, you know, all the things that beat the hell out of a drum! Thank the music Gods for etrailer.com! Works perfect just what I needed

As usual with E-Trailer, the connector cable that I needed arrived quickly and was the right part. When I had a question about my toad wiring, they responded with an answer and an instructional video which solved my problem. I received the product after just a few days. I had many technical questions that were answered by a competent service person. The product arrived in great shape and I had reviewed their installation video so installation went very quickly and easy. My 2011 Chevrolet Silverado is equipped with a 7 pole connection so I bought their adapter to convert to flat 4 pole connection. That an the CR-017 led worked very with first try. I also bought the trailer hitch lock at the same time. All products are very easy to use.

The website was the first indicator this would be easy. Logically laid out, suggestions for complimentary hardware, good photos and demo video's to make selection easy. Note to self: Always push brake pedal firmly before releasing parking brake. especially when Jeep is slightly uphill from Blue Ox tow bar. :-) This was a very quick fix, (unfortunately not quick enough, the wife saw me before I could hide it) maybe took 10 minutes total. A socket set and a small phillips screwdriver are all I needed for this replacement.
