Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg-Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is lightweight so it's easy to maneuver. We're going to start off with a few measurements here, ground clearance being first. We're going to have about 9-1/2" to the bottom of our bolt.



MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is made out of a lightweight aluminum so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. We're going to start off with a few measurements here. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 10-3/4" of clearance.

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Curt Folding 20 x 60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18151. This is designed to work with 2" hitches, and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. We've got about 11 1/4" of clearance down there. Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 32 3/4".

The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. To the bottom of our bolt here we're going to have about 13-3/4". Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 26-1/2".

It has a nice weight capacity of 500 pounds, and it's for 2" hitches only. Let's go ahead and begin our test fit by inserting the shank into the receiver. We'll slide that in and line up our pinholes. All right, that looks pretty good.

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango, we are going to be test fitting the 17x50 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier. This is designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. It's part number is MT70107. Now to begin our test fit, we are going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in far enough that the hole in the shank of the carrier is going to line up to the hole in the hitch. With those lined up we'll take a standard 5/8 pin, slide that through, and we'll secure it here on the other side using the clip. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is going to be right here that's about 3 1/2 inches away.



Curt 19x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're going to be test fitting the CURT 19 by 60 cargo carrier. It's designed for use in 2" hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Its part number is C18100. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in we'll want to look through the pinhole here to determine when we have that in line with the hole in our rack. We can then take a standard 5/8 pin; we'll slide that through, secure it on the other side using the clip. Now in this position the cargo carrier is going to offer us about 9-3/4" worth of ground clearance.



Surco Products 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're going to be test fitting the 24x60 Surco cargo carrier. This is designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 52018. Now, to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we'll want to line up the pin hole in the carrier and the pin hole in the hitch. With those lined up we're going to take a standard 5/8 pin, slide that through, and then take our clip on the other side here and secure it.



Pro Series Solo Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series Solo cargo carrier. It measures 31 by 47. It offers a 400 pound weight capacity and it's designed for use in 2" hitches. Its part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in and line up our pinholes.
