I had our warehouse measure the thread pitch of the Swagman Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock # S64027 you were looking at and it has a 5/8" x 11 thread pitch.
We do have the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers # e99047 which has the M16x2.0 thread pitch you were looking for. If you can tell me what you are looking to use the pin in I may have other options for you as well.
I included a video of the # e99047 for you to take a look at. view full answer...
You can go to a torsion axle and different tires and wheels if you so choose. You have to consider what you are trying to accomplish by doing so to determine if it is worth the expense or not. Normally I would say you could change to a different tire size if there is clearance to do so but Harbor Freight trailers tend to have odd bearings and if changing the hubs is required to go to a larger size tire and wheel you may not be able to without changing the axle any way.
If you do change... view full answer...
The best option we have would be a universal adjustable width trailer hitch, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13704. These are designed for applications in which custom trailer hitch fit options are not available. The width can be adjusted to fit any frame between 22" and 66" wide. view full answer...
I attached a picture that I took from the install instructions for the Curt hitch part # C13379 and it shows that the hitch height is right inline with the height of the exhaust. You can see also that if there was any exhaust height difference it's minimal too. view full answer...
I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59496 for your 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor trailer wiring. This will give you a 4-way flat connection that will allow you to work with the unique wiring of a police interceptor and draws power directly from the vehicle battery to protect your electronics. There is not a harness that will plug into factory wiring for your vehicle because it isn't a standard model. This kit will allow you to use quick... view full answer...
For your 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" 13552 is not a fit. For a confirmed fit, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # 75670. This will give you a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver on your police interceptor. I have attached a video to help. There is not a Curt brand hitch confirmed to fit, but Draw-Tite will.
If you will be towing with this trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the Vehicle Wiring... view full answer...

The Yakima RidgeBack 4 Bike Rack part # Y02458 is an excellent bike rack option that already comes with a hitch lock. In order to use a lock for the bikes you'll also need the Yakima HandCuff Cable Lock part # Y02466. That said, this option will likely give you two different sets of keys. If you would like for both locks to match, you'll also need the Yakima Same Key System part # Y07202. view full answer...
The trailer hitch that I recommend going with for your 2014 Ford Taurus is the Curt # C13379 which is a Class III hitch that has a 2" receiver. You'll be able to use a wider variety of hitch accessories with a Class III receiver. I like the brackets and thicker powder coat on this Curt over what comes on the Draw-Tite which is why I recommend the Curt. If you don't already have a bike rack then I highly recommend the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU24FR which can carry up to 3 bikes and has a U-Shaped... view full answer...
I actually called Harbor Freight about your trailer to determine what size dust cap is used on that trailer. I reached a tech and he stated that the dust cap is 52mm or 2.0488 inches. It looks like the best option is # BB2047 or # BB2047SS . However, you normally want them to be slightly larger than the hub bore to fit snugly. view full answer...
I checked with Roadmaster and they do not recommend the use of a fuse bypass when flat towing your 2008 Ford Taurus. They also state that this vehicle is not known for battery drain while flat towing.
To flat tow your vehicle you will need to start with a base plate kit. For that the part # 4415-1 has been confirmed as a fit and would work well. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables,... view full answer...
The issue that you are running into is that the Draw Tite hitch part # 24699 that you referenced is a Class I hitch and the cargo carrier you bought is a Class II only accessory. That tab that you have found in the hitch is designed to prevent Class II accessories from being used in the hitch. This is so you don't overload the hitch.
Realistically the only solution I can recommend for you would be to go with a Class I rated cargo carrier like the # C18145. Check out the review video I... view full answer...
If your 2002 Ford Taurus has an 1800 lb towing capacity, I cannot recommend towing anything that would exceed the vehicle's towing capacity. Attempting to do so would damage the driveline of your Taurus.
My research indicates that in order to flat tow the Town Car with all 4 wheels flat on the ground, you'd need to do some fairly extensive modifications to the vehicle, it cannot be flat towed as it sits.
I'd recommend you use a vehicle that has a sufficient towing capacity and a tow dolly... view full answer...
It's certainly possible to run the power wire of the Curt trailer wiring harness # C56093 through the interior of the vehicle if you wanted to. We don't have specific instructions for that but it would basically be just like you mentioned where you'd run it under the carpet and through the firewall. I attached a help article to this page for more info on this as well.
To mount the 4-way like you mentioned where it's attached to the hitch you'll need to find a hole in the floor of the... view full answer...
Your 2003 Ford Taurus is classified as a light duty towing vehicle. The amount of weight you can safely tow depends on the type of engine you have in your vehicle. You will want to check your owner's manual to confirm what your specific model Taurus is capable of. It's also important to know how much the total trailer will weigh.
The Curt trailer hitch # C12232 you were looking at will have a weight rating of 300lbs tongue weight and 3,500lbs towing, but it's important to know that you... view full answer...

The Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style part # S64650 only weighs around 25 lbs fully assembled so your wife should have no issues at all getting it into the trailer hitch receiver tube.
The nice thing about the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style is that you can add locks to both the rack and bikes with the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks part # S64031. I have attached a review video of each option for you as well. view full answer...
When installing an aftermarket transmission cooler like the Derale Series 8000 # D13502, you will want to install it on the return line for your Ford Taurus. If you aren't sure which line is the return line, you can determine this by starting with the vehicle completely cooled off. Start the Taurus and put it in drive, apply the brakes firmly and then apply the accelerator so that the rpms climb, then put the vehicle back in park and turn it off.
When you then feel the two lines coming... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Draw Tite and he confirmed that the # 75670 is a confirmed fit for your 2013 Ford Taurus with AWD. This is also a Class III hitch with a 2 inch opening like what you are looking for too.
For trailer wiring you then would want the # 118599 which is a confirmed fit as well. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. view full answer...
