The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Flat Connectors part # HM11143910 is the only available plug-in seven way trailer wiring harness for a 2011 Lexus LX 570. I checked out some of the review and the few complaints that I saw were that the plugs appeared to be pinned incorrectly. There are two connectors on the drivers side and two connectors on the passenger side. The harness will plug into both sets of connectors but the connectors on... view full answer...
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 56083 requires your 2021 Lexus RX 350 to have the factory tow package which includes a factory installed module to power the trailer lights.
Since your harness does not have power I recommend checking that there is a module plugged into the 10 pin connector which may be inside the luggage compartment, on the passenger side below taillight, behind little plastic removable bin.
If no module is plugged in you will need... view full answer...
We don't offer the circuit boards for Magnetek power converters but I do recommend a complete replacement as more than just the circuit board could've been damaged. I recommend the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger - 12V - 30 Amps Item # PD9130. The # PD9103 will convert AC shore power to DC power to quickly charge your RV batteries and provide continuous power to your DC breaker panel to run 12V loads. It works with flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries.... view full answer...
I'm not sure what wiring you purchased but if it's anything like the Curt T-Connector # C56217 for a 2021 Lexus RX 350 without the tow package then the system should be working once you get the module and fuse installed. If you aren't seeing power to the fuse then I recommend using your tester on the OEM plug pins to see if you find power anywhere there. If you still can't find any power I recommend taking your vehicle to your local Lexus dealer to have them look at your OEM wiring. It's... view full answer...
First, the trailer wiring harness # 56083 is only a fit if your 2015 Lexus RX 350 came with the factory tow package. If it did not then that could be why it isn't working. Or, if it does have the factory tow package, it could be a missing fuse or relay which you could find in the under hood fuse panel or the in cab fuse panel. view full answer...
I called my contact at Curt and asked about the installation of the wiring harness, part # 56083 on your RX 350. First you can call the dealership with the VIN and ask if it has a tow package. If so ask them where the fuses or relays may be. I did some research and was unable to find the relay or fuse location for towing.
PTW2993. Turn on the headlights and use the turn signals to make sure you are getting a signal.
If you do not show any power on that port, chances are the vehicle... view full answer...
If your 2017 Lexus RX 350 didn't come with the factory tow package then an additional harness with a powered converter is needed to actually activate the plug that you used to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118252. This Tekonsha harness is designed for vehicles that came equipped with the factory tow package.
Unfortunately, the converter harness is not available as a separate item from the manufacturer so your only option is to get the Tekonsha T-One Harness # 118255... view full answer...
The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM43374 is the correct wiring if your 2003 Lexus GX 470 came with the factory 7-Way and should be used as a replacement. If your vehicle didn't come with the factory 7-Way then the only way that I know how to help you is to offer theModulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59236 which comes with just the 4-Way but does require splicing for the installation.
If your GX 470 did come with the factory 7-Way the only other thing I would know... view full answer...
Not necessarily. If your 2015 Lexus RX 350 came with the tow package then you just need the T-One # 118252, but if it doesn't have the tow package then you need the T-One # 118255 with the converter. The tow battery fuse slot would only be used if you were installing a 7-Way. Since the connector for the lights just have 4 pins for the trailer lights and ground I don't think it will really matter if you have a fuse in the tow battery slot or not.
Before purchasing a wiring kit with the... view full answer...
The trailer wiring harness # 118252 is designed to fit a 2012 Lexus RX 350 that came with the factory tow package. If your RX 350 did not come with the factory tow package then harness will not work. If you are unsure if your model has the factory tow package you can have a Lexus dealer run the VIN in their system and tell you how the vehicle is equipped.
There are fuses if the vehicle has the factory tow package. under the hood in locations 43 and 44, and in the cab of the vehicle in... view full answer...
I see you asked this question from the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 so I am assuming you are talking about the padded clamps with hand knobs that come on this rack.
Those clamps are designed to free spin when locked, you can spin it over and over and it will not loosen the clamps. It sounds like you have unlocked the clamps but are unable to get them to spin to loosen the clamps.
If that is the case you can try locking and turning, then unlocking and turning,... view full answer...
My first question would be which brake controller do you have installed? If it is a proportional brake controller then this is not uncommon as a proportional brake controller senses inertia from the tow vehicle and then as the name states, applies that proportion of braking power to the brakes on the trailer. Since you are sitting still while testing, the full braking power will not be sent to the trailer with only the brake pedal depressed.
However, in order to make sure there are no... view full answer...
It sounds like the converter box may have shorted out, which can cause high and low voltage readings. To verify this, you will want to test the power going into and out of the converter box. If all power readings are fine going into the box but not coming out of the converter, then we'll know it is a problem with the box and not an issue with your Lexus. I've provided a link to our article on troubleshooting 4 & 5-way wiring installations which may be helpful.

This is the first time I have heard of this issue on the Thule Sidearm. The first thing I recommend checking is that the locks are seated all the way into the housing. Use the change key, # 853-1251 if you need it, to pull the locks out and put them back in.
There also could be damage to the mechanism which could occur if someone tried to turn the lock beyond its natural positions, used excessive force, or if some crud got in there and gummed up the works. Similarly, if the arm was pushed... view full answer...
Hopkins trailer connector # HM11143910 is designed as a replacement for 2013 Lexus LX 570 models that came with a factory tow package and 7-Way connector. It sounds like yours did not come with the factory tow package or it is not connected in the right place and that would be why it isn't working. If you have it plugged into the connectors on the passenger's side of the vehicle then try plugging the harness into the same connectors on the driver's side. Or it could be that the dealer has... view full answer...
Aside from what you already found, the best advice I can offer comes from another customer who installed the # 118255 on an RX 350. On the inside corner cover, pry up the center of the black plastic fastener and remove it. Reach under the cover with small pliers and squeeze a hidden second fastener's prongs to pop the cover loose. The white connector for the 10 pin adapter will have a black rubber sheath. It is located slightly up and out of sight toward the rear of the vehicle.

The P3 brake controller # 90195 only uses the 4 wires. The 5th wire you are referring to sounds like the illumination circuit that is not needed by the brake controller. I am not sure though what the year, make, and model of your vehicle is.
You should get the no trailer connected message with no trailer connected when you apply the manual override but not with the brake pedal. Brake controllers like the P3 need to be moving (the vehicle moving with the brake controller in it I mean) so... view full answer...
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118245 is a plug-in for a 2003 Lexus RX 300 and would only require you to place a 20 amp fuse like shown in the accompanying photo and linked video to the install of this part on an '03 RX 300. Uninstall the connector and see if the light on the dash goes off. If so, try re-installing it by following the same steps as in the video. If the light remains on I recommend having your vehicle looked at by a mechanic to determine the issue... view full answer...
When you put the Helium Pro # TH44VR in the hitch, get the pin in place then tilt it right to left as you tighten the hand knob at the bottom. It seems like you don't have the knob tightened down all the way. You can see what I mean in the video I've included for you. Right at the beginning of the video I do exactly this and it does not learn like yours is. I've used this on many many vehicles in the past and never had this issue when it was secured properly.

Since your 2007 Lexus GX 470 has the factory 7-way connector then it does indeed seem that there is a blown/missing fuse causing the issue.
Fuse 8 in the engine bay fuse box is the fuse for the lights, so I recommend making sure that the fuse is not blown or missing.
If the fuse checks out, then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the 3 o'clock pin on your 7-way connector and see if there is power on the pin. While you are there go ahead and check that there is no corrosion or... view full answer...
