Troubleshooting Installation of Tekonsha Wiring Harness 10-Pin Connector on 2019 Lexus RX 350
Published 03/24/2023 >
Question:
Finding 10 Pin Connector on 2019 Lexus RX 350 without Tow Package to Install Trailer Wiring: I cant find the white connector as I circled in the photo attached, which is captured from an installation video posted by Uhaul. There is something clamped with the body frame, and I cant take it apart or pull it down as you suggested from one QandA. I can feel that part is attached to a metal box, which is welded to the body. Finding the 10-pin connector to install the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness part # 118525 that you mentioned on a 2018 Lexus RX 450h L is sometimes a bit challenging but weve had some customers come back and give us tips on where to find it. One customer said: It is tucked up under the rear deck plate under the passenger taillight side. I used a mirror and flashlight to find it but realized that one I knew where it was I could feel it and pull it down just enough to plug the converter box into. I also attached a picture of the install instructions that point out where the connector is too.

Aside from what you already found, the best advice I can offer comes from another customer who installed the # 118255 on an RX 350. On the inside corner cover, pry up the center of the black plastic fastener and remove it. Reach under the cover with small pliers and squeeze a hidden second fastener's prongs to pop the cover loose. The white connector for the 10 pin adapter will have a black rubber sheath. It is located slightly up and out of sight toward the rear of the vehicle.
I'm not sure what you found that you aren't able to take apart, but I wouldn't try to pull it apart if you don't know what it is. You may be able to better identify the connector using the camera on your phone if you can point it up in there. If you still can't find the connector I recommend taking it to a local dealer for assistance.
