Since you mention eventually using your hitch to tow, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98844 because it can be used with a weight distribution system when towing.
I have attached a link to the installation instructions if you plan on installing the hitch yourself.
If you think you will be using the hitch to tow a trailer, then I also recommend picking up the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118449, and our etrailer.com... view full answer...
The main difference that you will see is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C45CR has a visible cross tube where the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C99FR has a hidden cross tube. So when you have these mounted on your 2022 Toyota Highlander Limited you will either see just the receiver slot and chain loops that hangs down, or you will see the receiver and cross tube that attach to the mounting plates on the left and right frame rails. I have included images so that you can see the difference... view full answer...

The differences between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13394 and # C13200 for your 2019 Toyota Highlander are that the # C13394 has a hidden cross tube meaning once installed the only visible section of the hitch will be the receiver it self, where the # C13200 has the entire cross tube visible.
The visible cross tube design is a bit stronger of a design as shown by its higher 900lb tongue weight rating and 6000lb trailer weight rating.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT84MR and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e75ZR are both fits for a 2023 Toyota Highlander Platinum. There is trimming required of underbody panels for both models, but not really the actual bumper. I have attached photo of this below, the first is of the Draw-Tite and the second is of the etrailer. It's pretty minor for either so not a big deal and it's required for all hitch options on this vehicle.

I would be happy to help you decide which hitch receiver you should purchase for your 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE. The Curt item # C99FR you were looking at and the etrailer item # e75ZR are similar hitch receivers and would be great for attaching a bike rack. They are each Class III hitches with a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs. The difference is that the Curt item # C99FR has a gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat... view full answer...
Good question, and there are just two differences between the Saris SuperClamp HD and EX, which is the size of the receiver(s) they fit and motorhome compatibility:
- Compatible With Motorhome & Fits 2" Receiver Only: Saris SuperClamp HD Bike Rack # SAR44VR
- Not Compatible w/ Motorhome & Fits 1-1/4" or 2: Receiver: Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack # SA4025F
Otherwise, these are exactly the same bike rack; both have a 60 lb per-bike capacity, grasp your bikes by the tires so there is no... view full answer...
To find the reverse light circuit on a vehicle is pretty easy but it may take digging around in the door panels or interior panels of the vehicle. What you need to do is find the wires that lead into the reverse lights on your vehicle. Test both of them for voltage with the vehicle in reverse (parking brake on and trusted friend applying brake), whichever wire has voltage is the correct circuit to use.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C99FR and the product number 13453 that you're seeing is just Curt's part number for this hitch.
The # C99FR number that we have on our website is just our part number for the hitch.
We have to use different part number than the manufacturers since a lot of the manufacturers that we have, use the same or similar part numbers. view full answer...
There are several similar features between the Hollywood Rack, part # HR1400Z, and the Yakima HoldUp 4 Bike Rack, part # Y02443-2. These are both nice bike carriers.
Both bike racks can be configured to carry either 2 or 4 bikes. Both will tilt for access to the rear cargo area of the vehicle. They both come with locks that secure the bikes to the rack and also locks that secure the rack to the vehicle. They both measure the same distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest... view full answer...
The advantage of a folding carrier like part # e98874 is, obviously, that it it can fold up for rear clearance when you don't have anything loaded on it. The disadvantage of a folding carrier is that since there are more hinges and connection points they can tend to have more movement.
Fixed carriers like part # C18152 that you referenced cannot, as their name suggests, fold up for storage or rear clearance, but since the shank is one solid piece they tend to have less movement.

The difference between the Curt # C56217 and the Tekonsha # 118449 is mainly that the Tekonsha wiring harnesses, and specifically the powered converter boxes, we've found to be a bit more reliable over time. They will install in mostly the same manner and provide you with the same functions, but the Curt powered converter box is secured with double sided tape and the Tekonsha is a screw in. So on top of providing the powered converter, it's a more secure installation as well.

I did some research and I checked the owner's manual of your 2021 Toyota Highlander. You will need to use a Class S compatible snow tire chain, they are the only snow tire chains that meet your owner's manual tolerances. They are designed for tight wheel well clearances. The Titan chains, part # TC2829, and , part # TC2829CAM, you are inquiring about are not Class S compatible snow tire chains. If you use them, you do so at your own risk

Other than the fact that the Curt # 13534 uses a gloss powder coat finish and the etrailer.com brand # e98858 hitch uses a matte finish powder coat, there's no difference between the two hitches. Curt manufactures the etrailer.com brand hitches for us, so you know it's a high quality product.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, a ball mount and a trailer ball to complete your towing setup. For a wiring harness, use part # 118449,... view full answer...
I would be happy to compare the trailer hitch options for your 2015 Toyota Highlander. As you mentioned you have three options, Curt # C13200, Draw-Tite # DT65MR, and Hidden Hitch # 87660. These are all Class III trailer hitches with a towing capacity of 6,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 900 lbs.
The difference in non-trailer loads does not affect the 2015 Highlander. Curt will require the use of a stabilizing strap for non-trailer loads on their Class I, Class II and some Class... view full answer...
There is only one difference between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches that fit your 2023 Toyota Highlander, which is the finish. The Curt has a glossier finish than the matte black finish of the etrailer hitch, so you can choose which you prefer. The hitches that fit your '23 Highlander are the following part numbers:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C99FR
The matte black finish is nice as it hides the inevitable dings, scuffs and scratches... view full answer...
The main difference between the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors part # KS69ZR and part # KS3891-2 is the ratchet mechanism of the latter. The ratchet mechanism makes for a faster install and removal. That said, they both have an equally tight fit on the mirrors. I have used both and I do like the ratchet mechanism due to the ease of use advantage. view full answer...

The etrailer hitch # e98844 is my recommendation for your 2019 Toyota Highlander. Because of that I think it's the obvious choice for your Highlander. It has an attractive black matte finish, a great towing capacity, and can be used with a weight distribution system. view full answer...
The Curt part number 13453 and our part # C99FR are the same hitch and will fit on your 2021 Toyota Highlander. We often use our own part numbers, so this is the only difference; you're still getting the same high quality Curt hitch for your vehicle.
If you're going to be towing with your new hitch you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount, hitch ball, hitch pin and clip. For the wiring I recommend using the Curt # C59236, which comes with quick splice connectors and uses a powered... view full answer...
These Hopkins wire adapters, Item # HM47025 and Item # HM47075, have similar functions. Both are heavy-duty, coiled cable with weatherproof jacketing. Both have easy-grip connectors and light up when connected. Both are 3 foot when stretched. Both adapt a 7-Way connector to work with a 4-Way or 5-Way flat connector on a trailer.
