Hi Andy; if you have the factory brake controller port on your 2022 Ford Explorer I expect it to have factory wiring at the rear. Have you checked to see what your 4-way is connected to? Do you have a connector back there that looks like it would fit the connector pictured below?

Hey Alexis, we can definitely help you with this. First thing you'd need is the Curt 4-way kit part # C56172 which installs inline with your taillight harness and provides a 4-way. Now to adapt this to a 7-way you would need the part # 37185 which also has a 4-way on the side of it as well so you get both connector styles.
