You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118478.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake... view full answer...

Snow tire chains are designed to give you additional traction in heavy snow and ice conditions, even vehicles that have AWD and 4WD. If you plan on taking a trip to an area with heavy snow or ice, it would be a good idea to bring a set of tire chains along for emergency situations. Using tire chains is not necessarily required, but they will help in hazardous conditions and there are even some areas that require the use of snow chains during certain times... view full answer...
If you are looking for a way to power the trailer brakes you would not run the blue wire of the 7-way to the positive post of your battery.
Instead you would run that wire up to the blue wire of a brake controller like the part # 90885 that you referenced. I attached a diagram that shows how a brake controller wires to a 7-way.
For wire to power the controller and wire up the output circuit we have the part # 10-1-1 which is 10 gauge wire sold by the foot. view full answer...
In order to use a cargo carrier on a 2005 Lexus RX 330 you'd need to start with a trailer hitch, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98857 is what I recommend. In comparison to the other options, this one has a matte finish which better blends in with the vehicle. The 60x19 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18100 would then work well for this setup. The inside dimensions are 60-3/16" long x 19-3/8" wide x 2-15/16" tall so that is what you'd need to use to determine fit of your storage... view full answer...

For the old Karrite Voyager cargo box you would use replacement latch # 03347. The replacement locks and keys, # SR03807, should also be the correct fit for the box.
For the hinges, replacement parts are not available. If they are not moving freely then you may need to remove the hinges, inspect them for damage or to see if they are bent, give them a good cleaning, dry them completely, then use a house hold lubricant to assist in movement.
Cargo box lids can kind of stick a bit even when... view full answer...
Both the Firestone Level Command II with Standard Duty Compressor part # F2158 and the Firestone Level Command II with Heavy Duty Compressor part # F2219 would technically work with the Firestone Air Bag Kit part # F2535 that you have installed on your vehicle.
The biggest difference is that the heavy duty compressor will inflate much quicker. view full answer...
Out of the three hitches that are confirmed for your 2006 Lexus RX 330 The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2 inch # e98857 is best because it has an extra coating of rust resistant paint on it making the paint coat to last longer in the elements. The hitch is also made in the USA.
The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required, and has a matte black powder coat finish that is over a protective base coat that offers... view full answer...
I'm unaware that the RX330 was available with factory trailer wiring. Must be a pretty rare option.
The photo you provided certainly shows a 4-pole trailer connector. If the wiring harness shown in the photo came with your RX330 when it was new, then there should be a connector somewhere at the rear of the vehicle for the harness to plug in. It looks like there's a grommet on the harness, so the connector might be behind the side panels in the cargo area or in the well where the spare... view full answer...
All of the hitches available for your 2004 Lexus RX 330 will have the same basic appearance. The only one that is slightly different would be the Curt Hitch # 13530. This hitch has the safety chain loops below the hitch opening whereas the Draw-Tite # 75153 hitch has the safety chain loops above the hitch opening which I think makes them a little less visible.

Installation of a brake controller on your 2006 Lexus RX 330 is going to be similar to the video I have linked on a Highlander. Both require a hardwire installation.
First you would need to install a 4-Way connector on your RX 330 (unless it already has one) # 118478. Then you would need installation kit # ETBC7 and the brake controller # 90885. I have included some links that show and explain this installation for you. view full answer...
We offer two trailer hitches that are compatible with your 2004 Lexus RX330 and both hitches are Class III hitches that will provide plenty of support to carry a bike rack and bikes. Our most economical option is the Curt Round Tube Hitch, part # 13530. We also offer the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75153.
Both hitches have a tongue weight of 350 lbs and a gross towing weight of 3500 lbs, but these ratings can be limited by the towing capacity of your vehicle. You will want to check... view full answer...
First, located the taillight wiring behind one of the taillights on the 2004 Lexus RX330. Then, use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to probe each of the wires until you find the one that carries a signal when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
You will need to have someone sit in the vehicle cab and put it in reverse. It is a good idea to apply the emergency brake, regular brakes, and even chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving while in reverse.
Once you have found the... view full answer...
For a hitch, I'd recommend the Curt Class III trailer hitch, part # 13530. This hitch is compatible with AWD RX330 models, except for models with the air suspension. To complete your towing system, you'll also need a few other items:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118478
Ball mount/trailer ball kit, part # 989900
My research indicates that the RX330 has a maximum 3500lb towing capacity, so the trailer and its cargo aren't pushing the capacity. If you'll be towing a weight like this frequently... view full answer...
All three of the hitches recommended for your 2005 Lexus RX330, the Curt Hitch part # 13530 and the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75153 will not interfere with the spare tire of your vehicle. It will install and remove on your vehicle just like normal.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball,... view full answer...
It sounds like the converter box may have shorted out, which can cause high and low voltage readings. To verify this, you will want to test the power going into and out of the converter box. If all power readings are fine going into the box but not coming out of the converter, then we'll know it is a problem with the box and not an issue with your Lexus. I've provided a link to our article on troubleshooting 4 & 5-way wiring installations which may be helpful.

You would want to have snow tire chains on all the powered drive wheels of your 2006 Lexus RX330, but you also want to follow the guidelines of the vehicle manufacturer. Having the chains on the front will be beneficial since the front axle is a powered drive axle. Also with chains on the front wheels, there is an increase in steering stability and braking.

If your 2006 Lexus RX 330 has factory installed rails that run front to back, I recommend the Rhino Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack, which consists of # RRVA118B-2 for the 46 inch aero crossbars and # RRSX100 for the crossbar legs. This will provide a sleek, low-profile roof rack with a weight capacity of 165 pounds.
If the roof on your Lexus RX 330 has no existing rails or crossbars, you will instead want the Inno Aero Bar Roof Rack with parts # INXB130-2, # INXS250 and # INK789.

If you are looking for a set you'll use regularly and want something easy and great performing this is the set to use.
