There is not a harness that plugs into your factory wiring without splicing so I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. If the cap at the end of the bike rack arm has a rivet instead of a screw to hold it on (check on the bottom of the arm) then you will not be able to remove it. But what you can do to get strap # 753-3535 installed is essentially stretch it out enough to go over everything, including the cradle.

The fact that the brake lights on your trailer are staying on all the time indicates a possible short somewhere in the vehicle or trailer wiring. Although it's pretty unlikely with the connector being new, I recommend first checking the connector at the rear of the vehicle for any dirt or debris that might be causing a short.

I think the dealer might be pulling your chain (pun intended). Once I was able to get to the Audi parts website to look up tire chains there was nothing special about the chains they have. I am thinking that the vehicle requires Class S chains but I was unable to access the owner's manual for a 2016 Audi S4. Check your owner's manual for more specific information on tire chains.
