Adapter is, as described. Fits and works perfectly. This adapter allows our dump trucks to hook up to our smaller trailer harnesses. We recommend this product, for this application. 521306

This is a great solution for adapting RV blade connector to 6 pole connector. I give it 5 stars. I use this for work purposes, and have found one issue that I DON'T believe to be manufacturer defect. In my industry we use different trucks and trailers daily, if not hourly. Some trailer electric brakes will lock up when adapter is connected. I have found the red wire in the adapter to be the problem. My solution was to splice in a switch so that when the intermittent problem arises I can flip the switch and be on my way. 515426

Comments
Thanks for the information Charles, I did want to let you know that there are two differnet wiring configurations for these 6-way connectors. Sometimes the red wire that you noted as the brake connector point can also be pinned as the 12V power wire. This would then activate the brakes, as you noticed. Your solution while it worked for your application is not something that we generally recommend for our customer in case they forget to flip the switch and are then towing without brakes on their trailer. For that instance we recommend repinning the connector and changing the 12V and Brake pins to correspond to the correct functions.

I received this item in a plastic bag, for a few moments i wondered if it was a knock-off. I had done my home work and was sure that this item would be compatible with the socket on my John Deere 2013 5085M at the time I ordered it, not so. The 'holding ridge' at the plug-in end was not in the right position when fully inserted into the plug on the tractor. I sent multiple pictures to Pollack Technical Support but they were unable to assist me. I finally modified the item myself (something I really hate to do) so that it would fit the plug-in and be 'grasped' by the cover/holder on the tractor side. As I anticipated, the thickness of the plastic was inadequate to make the adaptation 'sweet', so I had to cover the resulting hole with silicone caulk. 691246

It’s a great product but not for my intended reason. It just adapts round pin to flat pin. I was looking for an adapter from commercial truck to RV trailer. Additional wiring is required to convert commercial to RV, gooseneck, etc. 854654

seemed to be a good product , the only problem was going from 7 pin round semi connector to 7 pin rv style the trailer brake circuit did not line up , some rewiring was required so it would work with the brake controller ( if i would have i checked your website i would have known it sooner , no problem figured it out ) used truck and trailer alot since , no problems so far 836989

  • 7-Way Extension for Towing Food Truck with 2003 Ford Expedition
Thanks for the picture of the trailer wiring connector you have. Based on that you are in need of a 7-way blade extension like the part # C56080 for a 7 foot long extension or part # HM20049 for an 8 foot long extension. Or if you are looking for something shorter you'd want the part # TLW6024 which is 24 inches long.

  • Hooking a Gooseneck Trailer with RV 7-Way Plug to 1999 International 9100 7-Way Round Plug
The first thing that you need is the Pollak Trailer Connector Adapter # PK12-724 which converts the 7-Way round connector on your 1999 International 9100 to a 7-Way blade style connector. This will plug into your 9100 and provide a pace to connect the gooseneck trailer wiring. The next step is to then use the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter # RM-732 on your trailer side wiring right behind the 7-Way. This converter takes separate brake and turn signals and combines them so that...

  • Connecting Ram with 7-Way Blade Connector to 5th Wheel Trailer with 7-Way Female Round Pin Connector
It looks like your Ram is equipped with a standard 7-Way female blade style connector but your trailer has a 7-Way round pin connector, specifically the female end which is usually on the tow vehicle side. Because of this unorthodox setup there isn't a single cable available that will connect the trailer to your Ram but we do have the pieces needed to do this. In order to connect your Ram to the trailer you can use a 7-Way loop like the Bargman # 50-67-210 and then an adapter like the...

  • Trailer Brake Lights Do Not Work Using 7-Pole Round to 7-Pole RV Adapter on a Freightliner FL70
Big rig types of trucks such as your Freightliner use a different type of 7-Way connector than what is used in the recreational market. The recreational market has brake lights and turn signals combined on the same circuit, one for each side. A commercial truck uses separate circuits for turn signals and brake lights. Basically you will need to convert either the truck or the trailer. Converting the truck is easier especially if you are not going to be towing any big rig trailers. If...

  • Adapter Needed from 7-Way Round on Tow Vehicle to 7-Way Blade on Trailer
I'm not too familiar with semi trailer wiring but I believe that you have a connector with a 7 round pin configuration like I highlighted in the top right of the attached picture. To get to the 7-Way blade connector (also highlighted in the picture) that is on your gooseneck trailer you need the adapter # PK12-724. This allows you to retain the wiring and connector on your semi trailer while being able to power up your gooseneck trailer.
