Can Prodigy RF Trailer Brake Controller Fit with 7-Pin Round Connectors

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 06/26/2024

Question:

Hey, I want to buy the prodigy RF TK94FR but it looks like it uses the 7 blade connection but both my car and my trailer use a 7 round pin connection Is there a way to make it work? Do you sell some kind of adapter or kit? Thanks

Hey Matthew!

We have an adapter like the Pollak # PK12-724 that's designed to change a 7-Pole Round to a 7-Way Blade style to match what the Prodigy RF # TK94FR has, and then you'd need to use the opposite adapter, part # PK12727, to get it back to matching your trailer.

You might consider cutting off your current connectors and replacing them with parts # PK12-707E and # PK12706 to match the RF and industry 7-Way standard plugs, but I do understand the hesitancy in doing this since it means modifying wiring that works on it's own.

Hey Matthew, did the adapter setup work out with your Prodigy RF brake controller? Knowing how the connection turned out could help others trying to match round and blade wiring styles.
