Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at and showing you how to install these Scrubblade Replacement Wiper Blades here on our 2022 Toyota RAV4. Now it's gonna be a kit that comes with both sides. You've got the 16 inch for the passenger side, which we'll show you installing, as well as the 26 inch for the driver's side. Getting them installed, it's a direct replacement.
The first thing you wanna do is lay down a towel and make sure that it's covering your windshield so that if this accidentally falls down, there's some protection. Now I'm gonna use a trim tool to actually pop up this tab right here just because it is a little stiff on our factory blade, and then just pop that off of the hook just like that. Then for the replacement blade, we can pop open that tab and it'll hook on the same way. But I wanna point out that this is a hybrid style, so it's a mix between that sort of beam style and frame style. And then underneath you can see we've got a dual blade system that's gonna get good traction over the windshield.
Now we'll go ahead and pop that on just using that hook. You'll feel it kind of click into place right there and pop that tab back down. We can pull the towel back and give it a quick test, compare it to the factory ones that are on the driver's side and see if we notice any difference in the streaking. So, I'll activate that. Pop out and take a look while these are running.
And the great thing is it's not skipping out, and I can definitely see some streaking on the driver's side here that I'm not seeing on the passenger. I don't know how well it's coming up on camera, but in person you can definitely see a difference. And it's a nice, smooth, quiet action as the blade is going. So for me, this is a pretty easy replacement because it is just easy to do in your driveway. It's gonna get you a better result with better visibility.
Personally, I maybe look into the ClearPlus options just because I tend to like that brand a bit better. But these Scrubblade ones do seem nice for the RAV4. Thanks for watching..
