Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this CURT wheel chock with the frame mounting bracket. This wheel chock is gonna help to keep your trailer in place and reduce any rocking and rolling when you have it parked. The bottom of the chock does have this serrated ridged surface that's gonna prevent any slippage and movement. You can see we do have this large built-in handle that's gonna make positioning and removing fast and easy. It's also gonna make it very easy for you to carry.
The trailer frame mounting bracket will allow you to store the chock outside of your vehicle so you don't have to worry about dirt or mud inside your truck or RV. Very simple to get slid in place there. And then we've got this snap ring that's going to clip around there, make sure that the chock doesn't come off. That snap ring does have this wire lanyard that's gonna make sure you're not gonna lose that. So very simple to put on and take off when you're ready to use it.
This can be attached directly to your frame using the included self-tapping screws or they do also include a clamping bracket set here. So if you want to clamp around your trailer's frame, don't have to worry about drilling into the frame that way. We've got both options here as well as instructions to walk you through that installation process for either method that you choose. Our chock dimensions, we're looking at the width, you can see it's right about four inches. I'm gonna call it 3-7/8 of an inch wide.
Our height up to the tallest point is approximately six inches tall. And our length all the way back to our handle here, we're looking at about 7-1/2 inches in overall length. This is constructed of a heavy duty rubber and our brackets are a powder coated steel so they're gonna be weather resistant and provide long lasting durability for you. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty so if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think this is gonna be a great way to help stabilize your trailer and then easily mount it on the outside on your trailer's frame so you don't have to worry about getting the inside of your truck or RV dirty.
So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
Ratings & Reviews
Chocks are very sturdy. Only thing is to ensure that the surface is cleared of debris other wise the chocks may slip slightly from the ground.
When storage is at a premium on small RVs, this is a nice alternative. Absolutely worth it and love it.
Holds the trailer wheels secure in place
Although these are black and they match the tires, they are however very flimsy. They are not a very durable hard plastic and they are a little smaller than most others. I will buy the camcorder yellow chocks with the grids in them next time.
We found the black wheel chocks to be of very poor quality. I would not trust them to hold very much . You can actually bend them with your hands.
Just good bas8c wheel chocks. I wish they were a little heavier so they would not slide around at every touch but the low price offsets that.
Real easy to install; exactly what i needed for my trailer.
Perfect for my 14ft boat trailer, held the trailer in place when left on hill with no problems.
Love the fact that these are heavy rubber (not hollow plastic) and that they can mount outside my trailer. These are the specific reasons I chose this product. High quality and well thought out, their maiden voyage begins this coming sun.
The stackable storage is the best feature of these blocks. Lightweight, do their job well, are holding up after being outside for 1 year.
I purchased these for my popup camper. They are light, but appear to be sturdy, and they stack on top of each other for storage. Great product for the price.
These chocks are light, and hold solidly against the tire. I was worried about slippage, where the chocks let the tire moved back and forth, pushing the chocks. So far, so good!
Trailer accessories were exactly as described in the website. Quick fulfillment of the order and shipment received when promised. Repeat tRailer kept me informed of status. Really great service from order to receipt.
Products are exactly what I expected. Good quality and looks like they will last a long time.
These will make great portable chocks for my trailer - not too big, not too small, fairly lightweight (which, for occasional use is just right), and they nest.
High quality products and fast shipping. I might replace the snap pins with locks. If the wheel chocks were cheap plastic I wouldn’t worry about them but these are the best I have ever seen. I got the wheel chocks and snap fit jack pads for my young daughter on her new Bushwhacker.
I purchase all of my trailer parts with etrailer because they always have what I am looking for and are very prompt in delivery. These chocks were exactly what I was needing and the price was cheaper then [home goods store]
Very solid rubber chocks, with a great, easy to install storage system. I love them!
Not as heavy duty as I hoped, but are exactly what I ordered.
They are strong but I would not use them on a smooth surface because they can slip. On the other hand, on grass performed well and by accident I drove my Pathfinder on one of them and instead of breaking they got indented on the ground keeping the original shape.
Outstanding product.
Easy to use and well made.
They very much help with keeping a view while towing the rv.
Perfect for an always-eeady chock; clean and professional looking
Installed in less than 1 minute drilled into frame with provided large self tapping screws
Well easy to install, used on our second trip and one of the handles came apart, but the rest work as expected.
