Getting trailer lights working doesn’t have to mean tapping into your vehicle’s wiring. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs right into the factory tail light connectors behind the assemblies. There’s no splicing or wire tracing—just remove the tail lights, plug it in, and you’re ready for power.
This harness uses a powered converter that connects directly to the battery through the included fuse holder and hot lead. That setup isolates the trailer load from the vehicle’s sensitive lighting circuits, giving steady running, turn, and brake signals without overloading your system. The fuse holder adds protection for safe operation every time you tow.
After installation, the 4-flat trailer connector can be stowed in an out-of-the-way spot inside the cargo area when not in use. That keeps it out of the weather and away from road grime until you need it. When it’s time to hook up, just pull it out and plug in your trailer lights.

Everything I needed to wire harness my Mitsubishi.
Product fit my 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport as described and was easy to install and get going. As usual etrailer was great to deal with.
Curt connector has worked great. no issues. It has been installed in my vehicle for over a year now!
I had a mechanic install this.
I'm never comfortable taking panels off the interior.
I'll rebuild a suspension, remove an engine, and replace an exhaust, but I don't fool with taking the interior apart.
Instructions were clear and simple. Installation was fairly easy. works great!

After purchasing the wire harness from etrailer I immediately went out to put it on my car. I was amazed at how easy it was to do. Every instruction was there with pictures and I was able to put the wire harness on with ease. The hardest part was running the power cord to thff we battery. Everything else was very easy. Thank you

Perfect!
The light wiring harness arrived in a few days. It came with good directions and I installed it in a couple of hours. The biggest challenge was running the hot wire up to the battery. But it plugged in to the existing wiring behind the taillights. Fairly easy to do yourself.
Welded up a hitch for my outlander sport and after I got it all bolted on realized there was no wiring. After looking on the internet for a few days I had given up, luckily I found etrailer. 98% of my cars manufactured are cvt’s so you can’t tow. Mine happens to be a Manuel, I talked to the dealer and he said they’ve never made this car in manual. I was very great full to find etrailer and that they somehow managed to make things work!

Still working flawlessly
I have a concern, the wiring harness had been opened and stapled back together, I installed it but have not tested it yet, my hope is there will be no issues
